Download and Install

The following section takes you through the download and install process for the Liquids HCA Tool. G2-IS provides two options for downloading your Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. The first option is to download it directly from the link provided by G2-IS. The second option is to download it from Esri’s ArcGIS Market Place.

To proceed with the Liquids HCA Tool installation, you must currently have ArcGIS Pro installed on your system. To obtain Esri’s ArcGIS Pro, visit the respective Esri websites.

Download

To get started with the Liquids HCA Tool download, please visit our Software Download and Pricing page. Be sure to fill out the appropriate information in the provided web form. The G2-IS licensing representative will respond promptly upon receiving your request.

Once you have successfully received and downloaded your Liquids HCA Tool software and your Liquids HCA Add-In, you can proceed with the installation section. G2-IS provides you with the ability to download the Liquids HCA Add-In from Esri’s ArcGIS Market Place. The following download section shows you how to download the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In through Esri’s ArcGIS Market Place.

Download Liquids HCA Tool Add-In from ArcGIS Market Place

This section takes you through the download process for the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. G2-IS uses Esri’s ArcGIS Marketplace as one of its ways to house its Liquid HCA Tool Add-In. The Liquid HCA Tool Add-In is accessible to all ArcGIS Online organizational account holders.

To begin installation of the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In please visit the ArcGIS Marketplace.

1. Once in the ArcGIS Marketplace, you must sign in to gain access to content and services. In order to do so successfully, you must have an ArcGIS Online organizational account. Select the ‘Sign In’ option located on the top right of the ArcGIS Market page.

2. Next, the ‘Please Sign In to Continue’ screen displays. Enter your ArcGIS username and password, as requested.

3. Navigate to the ‘Products’ page by clicking the ‘Products’ tab located in the horizontal sub navigation pan. Next, navigate to the left of the screen in the ‘Filter’ side navigation pan, and, under ‘Product Type,’ select ‘ArcGIS Pro add-ins.’

4. Next, place your cursor in the search bar indicating ‘Search Marketplace Products’ and type ‘Liquids HCA Add-In.’ Finally, select the magnifying glass icon to search for the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In.

5. Next, click on the Liquids HCA add-in app.

6. Finally, click on ‘Request free item’ to begin the process of downloading your Liquids HCA Tool Add-In.

Install

The install section takes you through the process of installing your Liquids HCA Tool Add-In and then installing the Liquids HCA Tool software through the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. This section also covers how to install the Liquids HCA Tool using your Python Command Prompt.

Install Liquids HCA Tool Add-In

This section takes you through the process of installing your downloaded Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. If you have not already downloaded the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In, please see the Download Liquids HCA Tool Add-In from the ArcGIS Market Place or Download Liquids HCA Tool from G2-IS Resource.

1. To begin, navigate to your downloads folder and double click on the Liquids HCA Tool Add-in file named ‘LiquidsHCAAddIn.esriAddinX.’ The ‘Esri ArcGIS Add-In Installation Utility’ window opens. Next, click on the ‘Install Add-In’ button to begin the installation process.

2. The installation completes and the ‘Esri ArcGIS Add-In Installation Utility’ windows displays. Click the ‘OK’ button to finish and acknowledge that the installation has successfully completed.

3. To verify that the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In was successfully installed, simply open a session of ArcGIS Pro. Next, navigate to the ‘Project’ tab. Finally, select the ‘Add-In-Manager’ from the menu and verify that the ‘Liquids HCA Tool Add-In’ is displayed.

That concludes the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In installation process. The next sections discuss the installation and uninstallation processes of the Liquids HCA Tool, respectively, with the assistance of the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In residing in your ArcGIS Pro.

Install Liquids HCA Tool using the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In

To begin installation of the Liquids HCA Tool by using the recently installed Liquids HCA Tool Add-In, you must open an instance of ArcGIS Pro.

1. Once an instance of Pro is opened, navigate to and select the ‘Liquids HCA’ ribbon on the ribbon navigation menu.

2. Next, click on the ‘Install Liquids HCA Tool’ add-in, within the ‘Liquids HCA’ ribbon, to begin installation of the Liquids HCA Tool software.

3. Windows automatically prompts the ‘User Account Control’ screen. Click the ‘Yes’ button to continue the installation; or, Click the ‘No’ button to exit the installation.

4. Windows installs your dependent Python packages for the Liquids HCA Tool. Windows runs its cycle and closes on successful installation of all required packages. Do not attempt to exit the window until installation completes.

5. The ‘Result’ window displays a successful installation of the Liquids HCA Tool. Select ‘OK’ to exit the ‘Result’ window. It is advised to restart your Pro session each time you install or uninstall the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. Do this before proceeding to the next step.

6. Finally, navigate to Geoprocessing/Toolboxes/Liquids HCA Tools to verify that Liquids HCA Tools is visible in ArcGIS Pro.

This ends the Liquids HCA Tool installation process using the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. Proceed to the next section for information on installing Liquids HCA Tool Conda package using your Python Command Prompt. Although G2-IS developed the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In for a seamless install and uninstall experience, other installation processes are available at your discretion.

Install Conda package only

The Liquids HCA Tool is installed using your Python Command Prompt. Installing the Liquids HCA Tool requires an understanding of basic Conda scripting language that is used and provided throughout this installation process.

Instructions for installing the Liquids HCA Tool are provided using Windows 10 Pro.

1. To begin the Liquids HCA Tool installation process, navigate to your Python Command Prompt window by typing ‘cmd’ in your Windows search bar.

Right-click on the Python Command Prompt app and select ‘Open file location.’

2. The Windows Explorer opens and displays the Python Command Prompt shortcut file. Right‑click on the ‘Python Command Prompt’ file and select ‘Run as administrator.’

3. The Python Command Prompt window displays. The file path should also display, ‘(arcgispro-py3) C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3>.’ This is the path in which the Liquids HCA Tool Conda packages will install.

4. Next, type the following script into the Python Command Prompt window, ‘conda install -c g2-is liquidshca -–no-deps,’ and press enter on your keyboard to begin the package installation process.

5. The Python Command Prompt begins installing the Liquids HCA Tool Python packages.

6. Next, Type ‘Y’ in the Python Command Prompt window to continue with the installation process.

7. The installation continues the process by downloading the necessary packages.

8. The Python Command Prompt window displays the message, ‘Validating:ok,’ which signifies a successful installation. An error message might display, stating, ‘ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ipython_genutils.py3compat.’ This is an anticipated error, which you should ignore. The installation should complete.

9. Finally, validate the installation by opening your ArcGIS Pro and navigating to Geoprocessing/Toolboxes/Liquids HCA Tools.

Uninstall

The uninstall section takes you through the process of uninstalling your Liquids HCA software. This section also covers how to uninstall the Liquids HCA Tool using your Python Command Prompt.

Uninstall Liquids HCA Tool using the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In

To begin uninstallation of the Liquids HCA Tool by using the recently installed Liquids HCA Tool Add-In, you must open an instance of ArcGIS Pro.

1. Once an instance of Pro is opened, navigate to and select the ‘Liquids HCA’ ribbon on the ribbon navigation menu.

2. Next, click on the ‘Uninstall Liquids HCA Tool’ add-in, within the ‘Liquids HCA’ ribbon, to begin uninstallation of the Liquids HCA Tool software.

3. Windows automatically displays the ‘User Account Control’ screen. Select ‘Yes’ to continue the uninstallation; otherwise, select ‘No’ to cancel and exit.

4. The ‘Result’ window displays a successful uninstallation of the Liquids HCA Tool. Select ‘OK’ to exit the ‘Result’ window. It is recommended that you close and reopen Pro after uninstalling the Liquids HCA Tool.

This concludes the Liquids HCA Tool uninstallation process using the Liquids HCA Tool Add-In. The next section discusses the uninstallation of the Liquids HCA Tool through a Conda package.

Uninstall Liquids HCA Tool Conda package

Instructions for uninstalling the Liquids HCA Tool are provided using Windows 10 operating system.

It is advised that you close all ArcGIS applications prior to uninstalling the Liquids HCA Tool.

1. To begin the process of uninstalling the Liquids HCA Tool, navigate to your ‘Python Command Prompt’ window by typing ‘cmd’ in your Windows search bar. Right‑click on the ‘Python Command Prompt’ and select ‘Open file location.’

2. Windows Explorer opens and displays the Python Command Prompt shortcut file. Right‑click on the ‘Python Command Prompt’ file and select ‘Run as administrator.’

3. The Python Command Prompt window displays. The file path should display, ‘(arcgispro-py3) C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3>.’ This is the path in which the Liquids HCA Conda package was installed.

4. Next, type the following script into the Python Command Prompt window, ‘conda uninstall liquidshca,’ and press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard to begin the uninstall process. Type ‘Y’ to proceed and complete the uninstall process.

5. Finally, validate the uninstallation by opening your ArcGIS Pro and navigating to Geoprocessing/Toolboxes/Liquids HCA Tools. The Liquids HCA Tools and Liquids HCA Master Tools should not be visible in your toolboxes.
